Purpose
To drive efficiency, optimisation, innovation and people development across the software development engineering team

Experience
Minimum 2 years in leading, hiring, couching and scaling a team
Experience in leading implementations using an SDLC
Previous experience within a start-up or scale up would be advantageous

Day to Day
Mentor and up-skill junior engineers
Run 1:1s with team
Drive the career progression for engineers
Run performance reviews of engineers
Ensure the engineering team is happy, motivated and excited
Manage the development workload
Estimate and size tasks in order to have an accurate view on the development effort
Communicate the progress of delivery efforts to stakeholders
