This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy high-quality Imbuia wood. Unworked Imbuia wood is almost impossible to find in South Africa because it isn’t produced anymore. The only reason this artisan fine woodworker is selling his stock of Imbuia—collected over a lifetime—is because he’s leaving the country.
Imbuia wood is renowned for it’s decorative appeal. It’s known for its deep, rich colours and interesting grain patterns. It’s used for high class furniture and joinery as well as high class flooring and panelling. It can be stained and polished to an excellent finish. Imbuia has a wonderful spicy aroma when worked. It produces good results with both hand and machine tools.
