Minimum educational qualification
A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)(NQF 4)
Experience:
The incumbent must demonstrate excellent administrative coordination skills with least 10 years’ experience in a non-profit organization.
Inherent Requirements of the job:
• The incumbent must have superior organizational skills, be self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, and energetic
• Must be a team player and have outstanding writing, editing, data entry, and proofreading skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects are essential
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must have a valid (Code B) driver’s license
• Must be willing to travel when necessary
• Must be willing to work “odd” hours – maybe “after hours” when necessary
• Must speak two of the official languages
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
• Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems and objectives
• Excellent organizational and office management experience in a non-profit organization
• Knowledge of clerical duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer systems and collect statistics
• Knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing non-profit organizations
• Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership, motivational, organisational and decision making skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team
• Fluency in two: English/Afrikaans/Xhosa
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
• Ensure smooth overall operational functioning of the office administrative and clerical functions
• Management of the human, financial and physical resources as directed by relevant policies and operational procedures
• Participate in and support strategies to effectively represent the Association
